Mr. Hickey has written, developed or contributed to many books, but he is the author of "Honor & Respect: The Official Guide to Names, Titles, and Forms of Address." This 576-page comprehensive reference includes detailed information for etiquette and protocol professionals and anyone who interacts with officials. Topics covered include: forms of address for private citizens; professionals and academics; federal, state, and municipal officials; armed services; diplomats and representatives to international organizations; foreign officials; royalty and nobility; and clergy. Mr. Hickey also serves as Deputy Director of the Protocol School of Washington, and has been with the PSOW since its first training in 1988. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he was coordinator of publications at George Mason University, and an instructor in the Publication Specialist Program at George Washington University. He lives in New York City.
